HighTower Appears on Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies for Sixth Year

by HighTower on August 16, 2017

CHICAGO, Aug. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — HighTower was named one of the fastest-growing private companies in America for 2017 by Inc. magazine. HighTower appears on every Inc. 5000 list since 2012.

“The financial services industry is undergoing a massive shift, with consumers demanding alternatives to traditional broker models riddled with conflicts of interest,” said HighTower CEO Elliot Weissbluth. “We saw this shift coming ten years ago when we started HighTower. Our ongoing, rapid growth reflects the strength and vision of that prediction.”

Inc. ranks applicants according to percentage growth of their annual revenues over a 3-year period. As a 6-time honoree, HighTower belongs to the Inc. Honor Roll: a select group of companies made up of Inc. 5000 honorees that have made the list for 6 or more years. Less than 10% of Inc. 5000 honorees—already a select group—have achieved this milestone.

“We are deeply proud of the HighTower community and honored to again be in the prestigious company of the Inc. 5000,” added Mr. Weissbluth.

2017 is the strongest year of growth in HighTower’s history. The firm completed a total of 21 transactions in the first 6 months of the year. This includes financial advisor teams acquired as part of WealthTrust, HighTower’s largest acquisition ever, announced in April. The new teams and advisors added so far this year bring more than $10 billion in client assets to HighTower, with the firm’s total client assets now approaching $50 billion—a 27% increase since the beginning of 2017.
