HighTower Summit XI Wraps – a New Chapter Begins

2.0 – the natural evolution of a great concept. For HighTower, there’s no better way to describe our firm today.

This year’s Advisor Summit was a perfect setting to usher in HighTower 2.0. With the record attendance of 198 advisors, we had a fruitful week of exchanging ideas and discussing our future with a renewed focus on investing in and supporting advisory businesses.

Today, HighTower is a national wealth management firm that invests in the entrepreneurial vision of advisors. Our EBITDA growth is strong and getting stronger, with 8% organic growth in 2018 and 8.8% in Q1 of this year. That number is set to rise as we further build out our operational support capabilities and talents, and as our Advisor Success and Marketing teams begin to work closely with our advisory practices on their growth and business development plans.

At the Summit, we shared news of key projects that are now in-flight as we extend our infrastructure to grow the company. It was great to hear from advisors personally about their hopes for their practices, their business challenges and their unwavering dedication to their clients. This communication is critical as we drive our growth programs forward. HighTower begins and ends with our advisors – supporting their independence, passion and goals in every way we can.

HighTower has made tremendous progress in M&A. This year, we announced significant equity stakes in LourdMurray and Green Square Wealth Management, two renowned advisory practices that chose HighTower as their community. Internally, we have hit a major milestone in aligning our advisory groups for the long-term through cash and equity agreements. As of today, 80% of our revenue is now consolidated on HighTower’s balance sheet. By August that number will be close to 90%, a dramatic rise from early 2018 when we were at just 23%. This new alignment is an exciting development for HighTower as we look to build value for shareholders.
